The Advent of Anonymous Man (Another press release)

In the North of England, life is what you make it. Given the choice between vegetation and activation, we chose the latter in the form of THE INSTANT AUTOMATONS. There is no clear-cut "manifesto", no "image" - our backs are turned, but our eyes, ears and minds are open. We do not seek to destroy music - we want to free it. We loathe the "wonderful world of rock'n'roll" and all its attendant bullshit.

Of course, there are at least two sides to every story, and it's easy to say you don't want to be a "star" when you haven't got the option, but we believe in the quote from Aldous Huxley's Those Barren Leaves:

I'm afraid of losing my obscurity. Genuineness only thrives in the dark.

and integrity is a valuable commodity.

These days it seems everyone's in a band or knows someone who's in a band. This is healthy - if you listen very carefully, you can hear the "Music Industry" crumbling. With any luck, this could be the end of civilization as we know it.
